Keppel's Infrastructure Division is committed to reducing the impact of its operations on the environment. It adopts a three-pronged approach to manage water, carbon emission, and waste.
Ensuring water sufficiency and maximising water recycling through advanced treatment systems and technologies
Leveraging technology and digitisation to improve energy efficiency and carbon avoidance; Complementing existing power generation with carbon-free sources
Reducing waste sent to landfill through integrated and proprietary waste management systems that maximise recycling and enhance material recovery, thereby promoting a circular economy.
The Keppel Sakra Cogen Project is a 600MW state-of-the-art, advanced combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant located in the Sakra sector of Jurong Island. Upon completion, the Keppel Sakra Cogen Plant will be the first hydrogen-ready power plant in Singapore, with the most cutting-edge and highest energy efficiency.
An assessment of the potential environmental impacts associated with the construction and installation of the CCGT is provided in this Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report for reference. The feedback period for the environmental impact assessment report is closed. We have carefully considered all feedback received. A summary of the response to the feedback is published below.
