1991

  • Keppel Integrated Engineering was formed after the consolidation of Keppel Group’s engineering business

1998

  • Keppel Group rationalised its business and merged Keppel FELS (previously FELS) and KIE into Keppel FELS Energy & Infrastructure (KFEI)

2002

  • Acquired assets of Seghers Better Technology
  • Keppel FELS Energy became a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Corporation and renamed Keppel Energy Pte Ltd

2004

  • Won a contract to build Singapore’s fourth NEWater plant, then the largest NEWater plant, at Ulu Pandan

2005

  • Secured a 25-year Design, Build, Own and Operate contract from Singapore’s National Environment Agency for the Keppel Seghers Tuas Waste-to-Energy Plant

2006

  • Won a contract to build and operate the first integrated solid waste treatment facility in the Middle East (Qatar)

2007

  • Won a contract for the largest wastewater treatment, water reuse and sludge treatment project in the Middle East (Qatar)
  • Keppel Merlimau Cogen, a 500MW cogeneration plant on Jurong Island, commenced commercial operations

2009

  • Acquired the Senoko Incineration Plant from the Singapore Government
  • Secured the contract to build the Greater Manchester Energy-from-Waste Plant in the UK
  • First DCS Pte Ltd joined Keppel Group and was renamed Keppel DHCS Pte. Ltd as a wholly-owned subsidiary under Keppel Integrated Engineering

2010

  • Secured the second phase of the Greater Manchester Energy-from-Waste project
  • Secured a contract to supply waste-to-energy solutions to a plant in Shenzhen, Guangdong – the largest waste-to-energy plant in China upon completion
  • Keppel DHCS ventured into the China market to provide district heating and cooling systems services to the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City

2011

  • Keppel Integrated Engineering successfully completed the Domestic Solid Waste Management Centre in Qatar and commenced the operations and maintenance phase

2012

  • Keppel Integrated Engineering was part of a consortium that won the bid for a WTE CHP project in Bialystok, Poland

2013

  • Keppel Energy and Keppel Integrated Engineering were reorganised under a single entity, Keppel Infrastructure
  • Keppel Merlimau Cogen completed its 800MW expansion and commenced commercial operations with a combined capacity of 1300MW
  • Awarded a concession by JTC to invest, build, own and operate its fourth DCS plant in Singapore at Mediapolis@one-north

2014

  • Keppel Infrastructure Trust entered into an agreement with Singapore's National Environment Agency to provide additional incineration services by upgrading the Senoko Waste-to-Energy Plant

2015

  • Successfully divested 51% stake in Keppel Merlimau Cogen into Keppel Infrastructure Trust (KIT), formerly known as CitySpring Infrastructure Trust
  • KIT commenced trading on the Singapore Exchange as the enlarged Trust, following the acquisition of Senoko Waste-to-Energy (WTE) Plant, Keppel Seghers Tuas WTE Plant and Keppel Seghers Ulu Pandan NEWater Plant

2017

  • Keppel infrastructure secured the contract for Singapore’s first dual mode desalination plant, Keppel Marina East Desalination Plant
  • Awarded contract to build Hong Kong’s first Integrated Waste Management Facility

2018

  • Keppel Seghers secured contract to supply technology solutions for Australia’s first waste-to-energy plant

2019

  • Keppel Seghers invested in environmental solutions provider, Zerowaste Asia
  • Keppel Infrastructure-led consortium secured Jurong Island pipeline project in Singapore

2020

  • Secured contract to Build, Own and Operate District Cooling System in Bulim Phase 1, Jurong Innovation District
  • As part of a consortium with Thai partners, BCPG and TEAM GROUP, Keppel DHCS secured a new contract for District Cooling System in Bangkok
  • Keppel-led consortium secured contract to develop Singapore’s Tuas Nexus Integrated Waste Management Facility
  • Keppel Infrastructure completed its 20% acquisition of MET Group, an integrated European energy Company, for its next phase of European M&A and growth

2021

  • Keppel Infrastructure and PUB officially opened the Keppel Marina East Desalination Plant, Singapore’s first large-scale, dual-mode desalination plant
  • Keppel Electric signed an exclusive framework agreement with Electricite Du Laos as part of the Lao PDR-Thailand-Malaysia-Singapore Power Integration Project to jointly explore opportunities to import renewable energy into Singapore
