Global asset manager and operator Keppel Ltd. (Keppel) is pleased to announce that its specialist private credit fund manager, Keppel Credit Fund Management Pte. Ltd. (Keppel Credit), has been named the ‘Infrastructure Debt Manager of the Year, Asia-Pacific’, in the Private Debt Investor (PDI) Awards 2024.
Organised by Private Debt Investor, the leading publication for private credit markets, the annual PDI Awards celebrate the top-achieving managers, institutional investors and advisers in the private debt industry. Keppel Credit’s recognition as the Infrastructure Debt Manager of the Year in APAC highlights its distinctive pan-Asian private credit platform which is supported by Keppel’s deep expertise in alternative real assets.
Mr Stephane Delatte, CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Keppel Credit, said, “We are pleased to be named the APAC Infrastructure Debt Manager of the Year for 2024. This accolade is a strong recognition of Keppel Credit’s differentiated private credit strategy, which offers bespoke direct lending financing solutions designed to address the funding gap in the Asia-Pacific infrastructure and real asset sectors. We would like to thank our investors, partners and other stakeholders for their continued support.”
Keppel Credit established its track record with a first-mover advantage in the Asia-Pacific region, with Temasek as its key shareholder and initial anchor investor in Keppel Credit’s maiden fund in 2015. Driven by a highly experienced and specialised investment team, Keppel Credit’s three managed funds have committed nearly US$900 million across 30 investments in defensive infrastructure-like businesses – including, but not limited to, renewable energy, transportation, telecommunications, logistics, social infrastructure and other core infrastructure. More than half of these investments have been fully exited, delivering attractive return profiles in the low- to mid-teens.
At the end of 2024, Keppel Private Credit Fund III (Fund III) finalised its first close with approximately US$350 million of committed capital. With a target fund size of US$1 billion, Fund III has attracted capital commitments from top-tier global institutional investors, with Keppel, as the sponsor, committing US$100 million to Fund III. The third vintage of the Keppel Credit Fund Series builds on the successful track record of its prior two funds – Pierfront Capital Mezzanine Fund (Fund I) and Keppel-Pierfront Private Credit Fund (Fund II).
