Strengthening leadership team at Keppel Land

Singapore, 19 November 2012 – The Board and Management of Keppel Land Limited (Keppel Land) are pleased to announce new appointments in its leadership team as part of its ongoing efforts to further grow the Company. The appointments will take effect from 1 January 2013.

The Singapore operations, comprising both Residential and Commercial, will be consolidated into one unit and headed by Mr Tan Swee Yiow (陈瑞耀) who will assume the position of President (Singapore). Mr Tan, 51, will relinquish his overseas portfolio comprising Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Myanmar to focus on the Singapore market. Mr Tan started his career in Keppel Land in 1990. He is also a Director on several subsidiaries and associated companies of the Keppel Land Group.

Mr Ng Ooi Hooi (黄蔚菲), 52, who is General Manager (Regional Head) at Keppel Land China, will be appointed President (Regional Investments) to oversee the Company’s businesses in India, Middle East, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia and Sri Lanka. Mr Ng joined Keppel in 2007 and has held senior appointments at Keppel Land.

Mr Sam Moon Thong (沈满堂), 47, President (Indonesia and Malaysia), will relinquish his Malaysia portfolio to focus on Indonesia, a growth market for Keppel Land. He will be redesignated as President (Indonesia).

Mr Lim Kei Hin (林基興), 55, who is currently the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, will also oversee Investor Relations & Research in addition to Finance and Information Technology. Mr Ho Cheok Kong (何卓光), 56, and Mr Linson Lim (林顺贵), 51, will continue in their current roles as President, Keppel Land China and President (Vietnam and the Philippines) respectively.

To achieve greater synergy among its hospitality assets across Asia, Keppel Land has appointed Mr Khoo Peck Khoon (邱碧坤) as General Manager of Hospitality Management. Mr Khoo, 50, joined Keppel Land on 10 September 2012. He will manage and operate Keppel Land’s hospitality assets and projects which include the Sedona hotels and serviced apartments in Myanmar (Yangon and Mandalay), Vietnam (Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City) and Indonesia (Manado); golf courses in China (Kunming, Tianjin and Jiangyin) and Indonesia (Bintan) as well as marinas in Singapore, Indonesia (Batam) and China (Zhongshan).

Mr Lim Tow Fok (林道福), 53, General Manager of Sustainable Design & Knowledge Management, will relinquish his Sustainable Design portfolio and assume the position of General Manager of Property Management & Knowledge Management.

Mr Chung Choon San (曾春山), 55, who is currently General Manager of Project Management, will take over the Sustainable Design portfolio from Mr Lim Tow Fok and be redesignated as General Manager of Project Management & Sustainable Design.

Meanwhile, Mr Augustine Tan (陈佩强), President (Singapore Residential) & Head (Regional Investments) will be leaving the Company on 31 March 2013 to pursue his personal interests. Mr Tan, 54, started his career in Keppel Land in 1991 and was overseeing the group’s residential developments and investments in Singapore as well as the Group’s investments in India, the Middle East and Sri Lanka.

Mr Christopher Ho (何锦培), General Manager of Property Management, will also be leaving Keppel Land on 31 December 2012 to pursue personal interests.

In China, Mr Desmond Wong (黄孔光), 53, General Manager of Property Management at Keppel Land China, will succeed Mr Ng Ooi Hooi as General Manager (Regional Head) to oversee the Company’s businesses in Kunming, Nantong and Zhongshan.

On the new executive appointments, Mr Ang Wee Gee, CEO-Designate for Keppel Land and Executive Vice Chairman of Keppel Land China, said, “We recognise that people are our greatest assets and are committed to strengthen our core competencies by putting in place a robust leadership team that will steer Keppel to the next level.
